Born in Paris in 1980, Samuel Lercher showed an early interest in both classical repertoire and jazz , improvisation, and composition.
In 2014, he founded the Samuel Lercher Trio with musicians André Rosinha and Marcelo Araújo, and recorded Épilogue, his first album of original compositions. which was very well received by critics. The Trio's second album, Ballade , was released in April 2022, featuring renowned musicians André Rosinha and Bruno Pedroso – who contribute significantly to a cohesive and organic sound – and with the participation of French singer Lou Tavano and trumpeter Gonçalo Marques.
Over the course of these ten years, the music of the Samuel Lercher Trio has evolved. While the first album is centered on the piano, the second took the trio into the world of French chanson , broadening their musical horizons and refining their sonic textures.
