It is the questions we ask that shape the field of investigation and, when it comes to masks, it became necessary to pose new questions to old problems in order to begin to tread the path of research. This conference is the performance of that research; it is about the actor and the audience and the voluntary suspension of disbelief by both; it is about the theatre student and the teacher who teaches and learns with and through the mask. How to make visible the process of searching for and discovering bodies mediated by the materiality of that object? And how does the encounter with the audience take place?
