KINTSUGI, 100 MEMORIES

The theatrical work Kintsugi - 100 Memories by the LUME Teatro is a scenic proposal that, starting from the limits of theatricality and in a fragmentary way, attempts to approach an idea of memory that is neither linear nor bucolic, but rather a memory that presents the gesture of will in the act of remembering. Memory is neither monumental nor self-indulgent; it is rather an exercise of the present to revisit past crises, mistakes made, the scars – personal and collective – that history has left us, and thus correct our future.

The performance proposes, through the exhibition of 100 memories, a deconstructed autofictional dramaturgy in a non-narrative way that peripherally touches upon the history of the performers, their group histories, and, as a projection, the history of the spectators.
