UNE HISTOIRE VRAIE

Pauline returns to her childhood home driven by a disturbing doubt that has haunted her for a long time. When she revisits the places she remembers, which are the guardians of important events from her childhood, she finds disturbingly revealing signs about her origins.

Memories now merge with factual findings.

Pauline reconstructs the story of her life and discovers that, behind the chilling image of the Tenardier couple, who raised her as their daughter, hide terrible actions alongside a moving display of love.

In the end, she will have to make a courageous decision. Will Pauline be able to avenge her parents' memory and achieve the justice she demands?

Lionel Ménard, creator of shows with unforgettable, powerful images, accepted the challenge of GATO SA – Teatro de Santo André to stage this play; he proposed the theme, the methodology and the process. Thus was born “Une Histoire Vraie”.
